Bryce Hall, a member of the English team, has revealed he has been offered the chance to play for England at the World Cup in Russia.
Hall, who is the most capped outfield player in world football, said he had been offered a contract with the England team and the deal was finalised after discussions between Hall and his representatives.
Hall said: “It’s been discussed but it’s all in the final stages.
I’m still very much in the process of finalising it and it’s a massive honour for me to be offered the opportunity to represent England at this tournament.”
I’m very excited about it.
It’s a huge opportunity and it will be an incredible experience for me.
“Hall’s England side are currently ranked number one in the world behind Argentina, Germany and Italy, but he said he was not focused on a spot in the World Champions squad.
Hall’s move to Old Trafford comes after he was told he would be available for selection against Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Thursday.
Hall played against England in a World Cup qualifier against Japan in September, and he scored two goals in the match.
He was also part of the squad for the tournament opener against Australia in Sydney, but was injured in the first half.
Hall was also a member the England squad that won the World Youth Cup in May and has been tipped to be a key part of their World Cup squad.
He is yet to sign a new contract with England, but will be free to return to training at a later date.
