Sonny Perdue was back in the headlines for making movies this week.
Perdue was one of several former Republican governors to be featured in a documentary that has been making the rounds on television and in theaters across the country.
The “The Greatest Movies in America” documentary features a wide array of former Republican Governors and others, including former Georgia Govs.
Mark Sanford and Steve Bessette.
The documentary has been gaining traction in part because it shows how Perdue’s career has taken off in his home state.
He became governor in 2014 and went on to become a contender for president in 2020.
In a recent interview, Perdue talked about how his family has been able to enjoy life and his work as a governor in a state that has long been known for its heavy gun violence.
The program, which premieres Wednesday on AMC, is being distributed by the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.
It was produced by the group’s president, Ben Wikler, who also served as Perdues campaign manager.
