A suburban Atlanta man has filed a wrongful death lawsuit accusing his parents of torturing him after he became sick and stopped breathing.PJ Hall, who is also a firefighter, was hospitalized after a severe asthma attack on June 8, 2010.
His mother, who was working as a paramedic, was also hospitalized and was diagnosed with COPD.
Her condition deteriorated and she passed away.
Hall’s mother, Barbara Hall, sued her parents, the company that provided medical care for him and the state of Georgia.
She alleged in the lawsuit that she was sexually abused by the Hall family members, who were employed by the Georgia Department of Health and Human Services.
The suit, which was filed Thursday, seeks $10 million in damages.
Hall was hospitalized on May 25, 2010, when he became severely dehydrated and lost consciousness.
The following day, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Hall family is suing for negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful death.
It’s the second wrongful death case the family has filed against PJ’s parents.
The lawsuit seeks $20 million in total damages.
